Dani Pedrosa will not be the only one competing in the MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix as a wildcard. Stefan Bradl returns to the track in the next round as a Honda wildcard.
As is known, the Jerez circuit hosts a test day after the Grand Prix, making this an ideal round for test riders to make wildcard appearances.
Bradl, Honda test rider, confirmed to ServusTV that he will be on the starting grid, acknowledging that the task will not be easy: ‘I am really excited and eager. But it is also clear that it is not easy for me to ride with the Honda behind‘.
Last year, the German competed in six rounds, two of which were as a wildcard. His best result was 13th place in Assen, while in Jerez he managed to score points with a 14th place finish.
Now, Bradl will have the mission to continue contributing to the development of the RC213V, which at this time is showing to be the least competitive bike in the field. Having data and sensations in a race context will be an added value to the testing work.
