Francesco Bagnaia minimized the losses at the San Marino MotoGP, stepping onto the podium despite being injured due to the Barcelona incident. Now, the Ducati rider arrives in better physical condition for the Indian GP – where he will have to defend the lead.
The reigning champion stated in a release: ‘After the race in Misano, I rested, but also worked hard to return as fit as possible for the Indian and Japanese GPs that await us in these two weeks. Physically I feel better, but India will be unknown territory for everyone. We will work as always to try to be ready to face the sprint race and the GP on Sunday’.
According to Bagnaia, the season enters a phase where errors are to be avoided: ‘Now begins a very intense and important period, so maintaining concentration and avoiding mistakes will be crucial’.
