Carles Falcón is in critical condition after suffering an accident at the end of the second stage of the 2024 Dakar Rally – which took place yesterday in Saudi Arabia.
The Spanish rider from TwinTrail Racing Team lost consciousness and had no pulse, but was revived by the doctors and then transported to a hospital where further examinations were carried out. He fractured his C2 vertebra and had to undergo emergency surgery.
On board a KTM, Falcón was participating in his second Dakar Rally and was registered in the Original by Motul category – riders who compete without assistance teams. He started the second stage in 77th place in the overall classification.
