Jorge Lorenzo in statements to DAZN spoke about the current state of Aprilia and that the Italian manufacturer is not yet ready to face or be at the level of Ducati.
The former Spanish rider talked about Maverick Viñales’ performance during the Le Mans GP.
“- Aprilia needs to improve and make a more complete bike compared to Ducati. But also the rider needs to improve. And Maverick, in negative and delicate situations, I think he has some psychological work to do.”
He also added about Acosta’s fall in the early stages of the race: ‘Sometimes he wants to do more than he can. He was controlling that passion very well, that desire to show, being very cold, falling very few times. But in the end I think, in that particular action, he underestimated that he had Aleix very close and that he had two riders entering a very tight corner. He didn’t calculate the distances very well, he was too hasty. But overall, Pedro is dealing very well with the situation at the start of the race.’
