Skyler Howes was one of the standout riders in stage 3 of the Dakar Rally. Ahead of the marathon stage that begins tomorrow, the rider secured a third-place finish, bringing him even closer to the overall lead.
When asked by the event’s official site if he is ready to tackle the next two days, the Monster Energy Honda rider confidently affirmed, expressing optimism that it will be a positive experience:
– Of course! We survived the Chrono stage, so the marathon stage should be pretty nice. We’ll have a little bit more nice accomodations, and be able to eat some good food and sleep well. So, yeah, the marathon stage should be good.
Currently, Howes holds second place in the overall standings. He is just 1m57s behind Daniel Sanders (Red Bull KTM), who has led since the prologue last Friday.
