MotoGP is almost returning to the tracks. This Thursday, February 1st, the Sepang shakedown begins in Malaysia, reserved for constructors with more concessions, test riders, and the only rookie of the year.
Monster Energy Yamaha (Álex Rins and Fabio Quartararo) and Repsol Honda (Joan Mir and Luca Marini) will ride with their regular riders. Yamaha will also have test rider Cal Crutchlow participating, while Honda will also have test riders Stefan Bradl and Takumi Takahashi, as well as Johann Zarco and Takaki Nakagami (LCR Honda).
The other rider in the field participating is rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM). Two other KTM riders will participate in the shakedown, with test riders Dani Pedrosa and Pol Espargaró. Ducati will have Michele Pirro, while Lorenzo Savadori will ride for Aprilia.
The shakedown takes place between Thursday and Saturday, with a duration of 8 hours and 15 minutes each day: from 2:00 AM to 10:15 AM (Continental Portugal time).
