As we reported, Franco Morbidelli suffered a spectacular fall yesterday, on the second day of the Superbike World Championship tests in Portimão – where he was training with a production motorcycle before the MotoGP tests in Sepang.
His team, Prima Pramac Racing, clarified that the Italian had to be taken to a hospital for further exams. There is no indication of any worrying injuries, but Morbidelli still had to spend the night in the hospital unit in Faro ‘for precautionary and safety reasons’.
So far, there is no information on whether the 2020 vice-champion has been discharged.
