The 2024 BMW R 1300 GS is the latest adventure bike to conquer the world. The successor to the highly successful R 1250 GS, the R 1300 GS takes the lead in what many consider to be the world’s most iconic adventure bike. That said, it’s no wonder that many aftermarket manufacturers are launching all kinds of upgrades and accessories for the large-cylinder adventure bike.
The exhaust system is one of the first parts that motorcycle enthusiasts replace on their bikes. A well-designed aftermarket exhaust system not only improves the sound of the engine, it also slightly improves performance and substantially reduces weight. SC-Project has long been equipping sports bikes with race-prepared exhaust systems. This time, it is launching a range of exhaust systems for the new R 1300 GS. There are two models to choose from – the Adventure-R and the Rally-X.
Designed to preserve the simple, aerodynamic aesthetics of the R 1300 GS, the Adventure-R gets a large canister in a sleek, ultra-light titanium casing. It also has a laser-engraved logo, a carbon fiber end cap and an asymmetrical double outlet to give the bike an OEM-plus aesthetic. SC-Project ensures that the Adventure-R system complies with current Euro 5 regulations and has undergone rigorous testing in all kinds of conditions to guarantee consistent and reliable performance.
SC-Project offers the Adventure-R system in two colors – titanium and matt black. Whichever color you choose, the Adventure-R matches the factory heat shield of the R 1300 GS perfectly. What’s more, SC-Project provides all the necessary materials for a quick and trouble-free installation. Like most slip-on systems, the Adventure-R doesn’t require any ECU remapping to work efficiently with the R 1300 GS, and is also compatible with OEM side cases.
Next, the SC-Project Rally-X gives the R 1300 GS a sportier, racing-inspired look. The conical shape with a sports lid is reminiscent of rally models, and its compact dimensions – just 250 millimeters long – emphasize a light and compact construction. Like the Adventure-R, the Rally-X is made from high-quality titanium and has been designed to meet Euro 5 standards.
From a styling point of view, the Rally-X gets an aluminum plate with the SC-Project logo, similar to the one found on the SC-Project Reparto Corse exhaust systems. All the titanium elements are TIG welded, and the brackets and equipment are CNC machined for maximum durability and longevity. SC-Project offers the Rally-X in a single titanium color and, like the Adventure-R, it requires no ECU tuning and is also compatible with OEM side cases.
