With the championship around the corner, Álex Márquez still has some unresolved issues with his Ducati Desmosedici in order to be in the best shape for the start of the MotoGP world championship.
The Gresini Racing rider started by talking about one of the problems that has been bothering him the most: ‘Above all, the race pace. It’s true that we’re not in a good situation because on Monday I had an accident and the front tire punctured. It was like that with the tires, especially the front one. It was a bit of a strange day for us, a lot of time with the used tire and we put on the soft one to attack the times too early because we didn’t have enough tires. The first one we used was for the long race, the attack on the stopwatch was too early.’.
And like Jorge Martín, Álex also suffers from rear vibration on the bike: ‘The main goal on Tuesday was to do the long race, we had problems, which is good because we have time to try to solve them. More or less like last year, with the vibration in the rear, we have these two weeks to analyze the problem. The feeling was good’.
A. Márquez was 13th on the second day of testing.
