A modified Royal Enfield Meteor 350, nicknamed ‘Shotgun 350’, was revealed by the American custom motorcycle manufacturer Baxter Cycle, specialized in modifying Royal Enfield and Triumph motorcycles. It is important to note that this ‘Shotgun 350’ is a custom bike and is not officially related to the upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 350, which had been spotted testing in the past.
For the construction of this ‘Shotgun 350’, they used a stock Meteor 350 and made some design changes to give it a bobber look. The idea was to create a bobber on the Meteor 350 platform, similar to how Royal Enfield made the Shotgun 650 on the Super Meteor 650 platform.
Several modifications were made to transform the bike from a cruiser into a bobber, the first of which was the addition of a colorful Royal Enfield windshield. The second was changing the handlebar and adding wider handlebars to give the rider a neutral riding posture. The rearview mirrors were also changed, and the bike now features darkened end-of-handlebar rearview mirrors.
Additionally, the front now comes with Diablo fork protectors. The passenger seat was replaced with a luggage rack, similar to what we saw on the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. Finally, the exhaust on this bike is a Peashooter unit borrowed from the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
Together with these design modifications, the motorcycle underwent some changes in terms of structure to fit the bobber character. The most visible difference is the new tires.
Baxter Cycle swapped the 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels for 17-inch front and rear wheels from the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The rear shock absorber is also different: the original rear shock absorbers were replaced by black aluminum YSS rear shock absorbers.
Overall, with these modifications, the Meteor 350 was transformed into a completely different motorcycle and even looks like the smaller sister of the Shotgun 650.
