The UK’s motorcycle media community is gearing up for a unique charitable event — the Big Ride, hosted by Two Wheels for Life. Scheduled for August 16, this solidarity ride aims to raise funds for medical programs in rural African communities, where motorcycles often mean the difference between life and death.

How Does the “Big Ride” Work?

Unlike traditional rides, this event has no fixed starting point. Each rider creates their own route to Mallory Park, Leicestershire, and completes challenges along the way, designed by iconic racers like Peter Hickman and Niall Mackenzie.

The ride concludes at the Festival of Motorcycling, hosted by Classic Bike Trackdays, which features:

  • Classic bike displays
  • On-track circuit sessions
  • Off-road activities
  • Evening celebration for riders

Participants must arrive by 3:00 PM and show proof of challenge completion. Registration is £50, which includes festival access. Track sessions are available as optional add-ons.

Prizes and Perks

Riders who raise the most funds and complete the most challenges will earn special prizes.

All participants receive:

  • Free festival access
  • Meet-and-greet opportunities with racing legends like Randy Mamola

Why This Cause?

Two Wheels for Life supports community healthcare projects in remote African regions, where motorcycles provide critical access to medical services in isolated areas. The Big Ride is a meaningful way for the motorcycle community to engage in a cause with real-world impact.

Final Thoughts: Riding with Purpose

The Big Ride is more than a motorcycle trip. It’s adventure with a mission, customized routes, and a shared spirit of giving. A fantastic chance to combine motorcycle passion with social impact.

For details on registration, fundraising, and track access, visit the official Two Wheels for Life website.
