The MotoGP Americas GP is already this weekend, and Raúl Fernández is one of the riders for the home team, Trackhous Racing. At the moment, he is the only non-classified rider in the championship, after two retirements in Qatar and Portugal.
Despite this disappointing start, the Spanish rider expressed his excitement about arriving in Austin, stating: ‘I am really happy to be back at this track. After the beginning of the year, which was definitely not what we expected, I can’t wait to get to the Circuit of the Americas to see how competitive we are‘.
Regarding his approach this weekend, Fernández mentioned: ‘I will try to enjoy on the bike again, which is our goal, and for Trackhouse Racing this weekend is very special, so we really intend to enjoy and try to do our best in the United States‘.
After the two retirements, #25 will try to get his first points of 2024. However, he will have to overcome his history: since his MotoGP debut in 2022, he has never scored points in Austin, where his best result considering all categories is the victory in Moto2 in 2021.
