Last year was very good for Aprilia at the Catalunya GP, with Aleix Espargaró achieving a double and Maverick Viñales on the podium, something that motivates Raúl Fernández a lot, who is still trying to find his best level this season.
The Trackhouse Racing rider recalled exactly the results of 2023 to make sure he should achieve a good performance: ‘I feel very lucky to have four Grand Prix in Spain. This one is special, especially for Aprilia, as they achieved a 1-2 result here last year, so for me, it’s great to go there knowing that our bike works incredibly well on this circuit’.
Fernández continues to progress and wants to keep going in that direction:
– Honestly, I am very happy to go there after finding more progress again in Le Mans. I am pleased with the current situation and I am going to Barcelona to enjoy the race weekend because I think we are working very well.
The #25 has 18 points so far, sitting in 15th place in the championship standings.
