Raúl Fernández started the MotoGP season with last year’s version of the Aprilia RS-GP. However, from the beginning, the Noale manufacturer ensured that the plan is to have four identical bikes on track.
However, as the plans of the satellite team Trackhouse Racing were only finalized at a late stage, it was not logistically possible to have the 2024 RS-GP for the Spaniard immediately.
For now, there is still no completely guaranteed date for this to happen, but Fernández pointed to after the summer break scheduled for July: ‘Regarding the bike, it seems that the bike will arrive after the summer break. We are not 100 percent sure, this is the plan,’ he said.
With the 2023 bike, Oliveira’s teammate has been a regular presence in the points and fought for the top five in the Catalunya GP last Sunday – achieving sixth place, which is his best result so far. He is just one point behind the Portuguese in the championship.
