Aprilia will have promised to also provide Raul Fernández with the most updated version of the RS-GP but for now has not advanced a date to do so, something that for the rider seems, for now, not to be of interest.
Asked if there is any time frame to receive the bike, the Spaniard made it clear that for now he has no information in that regard, but he was happy to have the 2023 version: ‘Honestly, I don’t know 100% when the new bike will come to me, but what I know is that with the bike I tested in the Valencia tests, at the end of the season, I felt very comfortable, I liked it a lot. Something I especially liked was the front of the bike, it was interesting, and at the beginning of the season it will be good for me not to have to think about testing new parts of the bike’.
Still, he assured that he will do his best with the bike at his disposal, and even admitted that thinking about the 2024 bike is something that ‘doesn’t matter’:
– I will try to do my best and I feel that I will arrive at the first race of the year with a lot of experience and that is important to me. Honestly, I’m not thinking about when I will have (the new) bike, it’s something that doesn’t matter. I want to give my maximum and have fun like I did in the final phase of the last season, do my best.
