Yamaha Motor Europe has launched “Race Like A Girl”, a six-part web series that amplifies the voices of young riders in the 2025 FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship (WorldWCR). As the only manufacturer supporting this championship, Yamaha aims to promote gender equality and inspire real inclusion in competitive racing.

R7: A Platform for Equality and Performance

All 24 riders compete on identical Yamaha R7 bikes, proving that equal opportunities can produce top-level racing. The series focuses on each rider’s unique journey — their background, challenges, and ambitions — offering a personal look into the female racing experience.

Three Pillars for a Fairer Sport

Through this initiative, Yamaha reinforces its commitment to:

  • Gender equality and social inclusion in motorcycling
  • Talent promotion regardless of ethnicity or background
  • Sustainability, aligning racing with the future of mobility

Yamaha’s Vision

Michael van Zomeren, Yamaha’s Marketing & Motorsport Director, shared:

“Motorcycling should be accessible to everyone. With Race Like A Girl, we’re taking another step toward positive change, empowering the next generation of riders.”

Where to Watch and Who’s in the Spotlight

The series is available on Yamaha Motor Europe’s official YouTube channel and its social media platforms. Each episode highlights a different racer, beginning with Tayla Relph, who shares her journey through the world of speed and competition.

WorldWCR: A New Era for Women in Racing

Launched in 2024, WorldWCR is a women-only championship supported by FIM and Dorna. It runs alongside the MotoGP calendar, on international circuits. All participants ride Yamaha R7 motorcycles and use Pirelli tires.

More Than a Championship — A Movement

With Race Like A Girl, Yamaha shows that motorcycling can — and should — be more inclusive, diverse, and sustainable. This series is more than just content — it’s a bold step toward building a better future for motorsport.
