Marc Márquez, was one of the riders who shared his opinion on Fabio Quartararo’s renewal with Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™. The Japanese manufacturer continues to face many difficulties, just like the rival Repsol Honda Team, where the Spanish rider spent 11 years and won eight MotoGP world championships.
The Gresini Racing MotoGP™ rider started by comparing the two Japanese manufacturers who are in the same difficult situation and then talked about Fabio’s age difference, explaining that the French rider has plenty of time ahead of him.
– ‘First of all, Yamaha remains a prestigious brand, just like Honda. They will face difficulties, but they will overcome these obstacles in due time. Many people compared his situation with mine, but Fabio has more time available than I do at this stage of my career.’
He also added that Fabio’s confidence in Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ is normal, as he is in a very prestigious factory team: ‘When we have been promised a lot and they continue to promise us more, it is normal to have patience and confidence. And that’s what Fabio did. Luck is also needed. Luck, in this case, means that the technicians find the solution for a more competitive bike.’
