QJMotor is thinking bigger and after seeing the (practically definitive) concept of the SRK 1000 RC Ten78 presented at EICMA 2023, it is launching the SRK 921 RR Race in the Chinese market. There is a lot of Italian influence in these two sports motorcycles, the collaboration with C-Creative by Giovanni Castiglioni allowed for the creativity of engineer Paolo Bianchi and renowned designer Adrian Morton, parents of MV Agusta.
Both motorcycles are equipped with four-cylinder engines that clearly derive from MV, even the displacement recalls models from the past (to be more precise, the F4 1078 312 and the Brutale 920), 1078 cc for the SRK 1000 and 920 cc for the SRK 921 RR Race, which officially enters the Chinese brand’s lineup.
Its engine has 129 hp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 93 Nm at 8,000 rpm, while the declared weight is 215 kg in running order (with the 16-liter tank full). It is not lightweight, indicating that the pursuit of lightness was not one of the design pillars, although for a motorcycle that will be sold for the equivalent of €8,900, one cannot complain.
If the aesthetics are decidedly attractive and modern, even under the clothes, the SRK 921 is well assembled. The brakes are Brembo, with four-piston radial front calipers equipped with ABS, the suspension is provided by Marzocchi, while traction control is not lacking, and it is also said to be equipped with an IMU platform.
The SRK 921 RR Race features a 5-inch color TFT display and integrated smartphone connectivity, while also having a front camera (dashcam) in the front.
To date, it is not known if this QJ will be sold in markets other than China.
