The start of the MotoGP season has shown Pedro Acosta in top form despite only making his debut now. In Portugal and at the Americas GP, he was the best of the four KTM riders to step onto the podium, even outperforming the factory team riders.
In recent weeks, there has been speculation about a promotion for the Red Bull GasGas Tech3 rookie to the Red Bull KTM team during the season. When asked about this possibility, the Spanish rider said: ‘Ask Pit [Beirer, KTM Motorsport director]’.
As for himself, Acosta assured that he is happy at Red Bull GasGas Tech3: ‘I am happy with the group I have now, I am happy with the team I have now, I am happy with the bike I have now. Therefore, I have no reason to say “I want to change.” Anyway, this is not up to me. I am just riding, trying to grow in this class and within the KTM family‘.
Next, #31 stated: ‘I am not yet ready to say that I will fight for something. I am not yet ready to say that I will achieve the result at this track. I am not ready to decide my future at this moment‘.
Finally, Acosta emphasized his satisfaction with his current situation: ‘I am very happy with the things that the Pierer Mobility group puts on my side and how they are giving me all the support, 120 percent. Therefore, I am more than happy with the things I have now‘.
