Miguel Oliveira was not particularly happy after the Sprint race, where he struggled with some unexpected issues once again at the start of the race. Additionally, throughout the weekend, the Portuguese rider is still searching for the best grip, thus lamenting the result in the race where he gave it his all.
Here is the reaction from the Trackhouse Racing Portuguese driver after the race: ‘It was a tough day. Between fifth place and 15th, which is where I qualified, there was a 0.3s difference and as you can imagine, the feelings are not the best in the world. I gave it everything I had. I struggled in qualifying to find grip, I couldn’t find it this weekend and we clearly saw it in the data but there was no effective way to touch on the point and go faster. The Sprint race was again the best we could do’.
And once again Oliveira had problems at the start of the race, where he hopes to take a step forward based on Maverick Viñales’ data, who has an equal bike:
– The starting device did not activate and I had to start with another device and my start was very poor and I couldn’t recover positions, I lost some, and then I tried my best until the end, I didn’t have the rhythm for much more and that’s it. Fortunately, we had an Aprilia winning the Sprint, which allows us to compare the data, something we are doing now, and try to come up with a step forward that makes sense for tomorrow, where we will possibly all be on the grid with the medium tire, which can bring everyone a little closer, but I don’t know, it will be tough.
