The Prima Pramac team won the MotoGP Australian GP with Johann Zarco and moved closer to winning the team title – extending their lead in the championship.
With the Frenchman’s victory and Jorge Martín’s fifth place, Pramac scored 36 points in Phillip Island and reached 526. They are 85 points ahead of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team. However, anything can still happen, as there are a maximum of 264 points to be awarded until the end of the season.
Ducati remains in third as the best factory team, 23 points behind VR46 and 108 points from the top. Red Bull KTM is in third and Aprilia in fourth, 50 and 63 points behind Ducati respectively. Miguel Oliveira’s CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team remains in eighth, now further from Gresini’s seventh place. GasGas Tech3 and Repsol Honda, in tenth and 11th, have not yet reached the 100-point mark.
Regarding the constructors, there are no major changes. Ducati, already champion, now has a total of 552 points, compared to KTM’s 296. The Austrians slightly expanded their margin over Aprilia, which still remains less than the value of a victory in the main race. Yamaha has distanced itself from Honda in the fight for fourth place, with a four-point margin. Constructors’ and teams’ championships:
