The second day of the MotoGP Shakedown in Sepang is concluded, today with many more new features on the track in terms of riders, and with a novelty about the fastest on the track: Pol Espargaró.
After the first day with only test riders on the track, in addition to rookie Pedro Acosta, today it was possible to see some of the main riders from manufacturers who are also benefiting from concessions – such as Yamaha and Honda.
Pol Espargaró was the fastest on the track with a lap time of 1m58.241s, with Fabio Quartararo 0.283s behind, and Pedro Acosta 0.29s behind the leader of the day.
Álex Rins, on his first day of 2024 with the M1, was fourth, ahead of yesterday’s leader Dani Pedrosa.
Joan Mir was sixth, ahead of former Pramac rider Johann Zarco, with Luca Marini in eighth, ahead of the most experienced RC213V rider, Takaaki Nakagami. Stefan Bradl closed the top ten.
