A new GP, a new track, a new challenge. This is how Pol Espargaró looks at the Indian GP, in a phase where the rider himself admits to be in a ‘relearning’ phase in the category, largely due to the serious accident suffered at the beginning of the season that forced him to be out of the paddock for many months.
The GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 rider spoke about the new round: ‘This will be a special weekend for the entire MotoGP World Championship. We are visiting a new country and an unknown circuit, so it is always intriguing and exciting at the same time. We will need to work well from the beginning to try to understand the track as quickly and as best as possible, while we will probably face very difficult temperature conditions’.
At the same time, Espargaró once again emphasized that he is in a phase where he is seeking his best level: ‘Once again, it will also be an important physical test for me, after a difficult weekend in Misano. I feel that I am still in a process of relearning about the bike and my body, although I have already improved a lot in both areas. Anyway, we are going to India, I am really looking forward to this new adventure!’
