End of MotoGP tests in Sepang, there are only two more test days before the start of the season at the Qatar GP. For now, Francesco Bagnaia considers it difficult to make accurate predictions about who could be the main contenders for the top positions, but believes that there could be a great balance in the beginning.
The Italian from Ducati stated: ‘It is very difficult to predict during a test because several riders have been testing various things. I don’t want to talk about anyone other than myself. On Thursday I did a good long run, but I had a problem during the long run and I was a little slower than usual. So you can say, “Pecco was not fast in the long run”. So it is very difficult to know, it depends on the tires, it depends on several things.’
Still, Bagnaia did not fail to mention some opponents he saw in good form: ‘I think a rider who will be competitive would be Enea [Bastianini] because he worked well and was very consistent. The [Jorge] Martín for sure, but I also think that [Marc] Márquez had a good test improving every day. Álex [Márquez] was always very competitive here and also showed in this test that he is very competitive. So it is very difficult, but also KTM, Aprilia. Maybe the start of the season will be more open compared to other years.’
