Pedro Acosta is the man of the moment. After three races, the future of the Spanish rider is one of the most discussed topics in the paddock. The Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider has achieved very positive results and there is already talk of the possibility of joining the official KTM team next year. The question that remains is which rider will have to leave.
That being said, Jack Miller is the most likely candidate to leave, due to the less positive results of the Australian in the last GPs. Brad Binder is expected to stay in the factory team where he continues to fight for top positions in the standings. On the other hand, Pedro Acosta, according to rumors, may sign with the official team later this year.
The Motorsport-Magazine.com confronted Pit Beirer about the possibility of Acosta joining the team this year and Beirer responded: ‘Pedro’s achievements are remarkable, but we do not plan to make any changes. All our riders have flexible contracts that allow them to race for any team under our banner, but a reshuffle during the season is not planned’.
He also added: ‘We now have two successful riders, which helps us better identify and address the weaknesses of our bike. This will definitely make us stronger in the future.’
