Pedro Nuno was in great form at the 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle race. The event that kicked off the Endurance World Championship (EWC) season took place between yesterday and Saturday at Circuit Bugatti in Le Mans, with the rider finishing sixth.
Part of Team Bolliger Switzerland #8, the Portuguese rider formed a trio with Alex Toledo and Nico Thöni, aboard a Kawasaki. The team was constantly fighting for the top ten, crossing the finish line in sixth in the main class and seventh overall (the best Supersport finished fifth).
The winner was Yoshimura SERT Motul, with riders Dan Linfoot, Étienne Masson, and Gregg Black completing more than 20 laps than Team Bolliger. Nuno took to social media to react to the result:
– I have no words to describe what I feel! We had a very smart race without making mistakes in very difficult weather conditions. None of this would have been possible without my teammates Nico Thöni and Alex Toledo who had a very strong pace throughout the race, and my Team Bolliger for the great work in the pit. I can only thank you for all the support and messages received throughout the week. You are amazing!
