After a very strong performance in Qatar, Pedro Acosta’s desire is to continue with that mindset in the second round of the championship, now in Portugal.
Unlike what happened in Losail, Acosta did not test in Portimão, but his goals are clear: ‘Portimão is a circuit that I like and we have good feelings after Qatar. The main goal is to continue adapting to the bike and the category and try to maintain the momentum from Qatar, that is, have a good Friday and a good Saturday to arrive at the sprint and the race as well positioned as possible on the grid. I am looking forward to riding the MotoGP bike on this circuit’.
Nicolas Goyon, Team Manager of Red Bull GASGAS Tech3, is also excited to see the rookie racing at the Portuguese circuit:
– A week ago, we left Qatar after a dream opening round, with our rookie Pedro Acosta shining throughout the weekend. He qualified for Q2 after practice sessions, scored his first points in the Tissot Sprint, and finished the weekend with a top 10 result in the main race, something that hasn’t happened for a rookie since 2021. At Red Bull GASGAS Tech3, we can’t wait to see a talent like him express himself on such a unique circuit like Portimão, where he won last season in Moto2.
