Nowadays, the start in MotoGP is an increasingly complex moment, with the rider having to worry about starting at the ideal moment, but also managing the height adjustment device and the start control itself. For rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM), it is another aspect of adaptation.
When asked about his feelings during the start training in the face of all the challenges and requirements, the Spanish rider explained that he has a major aspect to improve:
– We were trying another fork tuning that was worse, but it is true that in Malaysia, Valencia, and on Monday in Losail, it was very good. For me, the worst is locking the front device. If I do it in time, it’s not a problem. Also here [Losail], we have many straights, so I don’t need to wait until the main straight – I can do it between many corners. For me, this is the worst because in the end when I stop, I just have to press the start control button, which was the same in Moto2, and remember to lower the rear device.
