Pedro Acosta is making “a lot of waves” in his debut season in MotoGP and one of his motivational quotes has everything to do with his nickname, ‘The Shark’.
In statements to MotoGP, the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider revealed what phrases motivate him in MotoGP, and these could hardly fit better with the young prodigy: ‘Well, in the end it all started as a joke and just look where we’ve gotten, you know, and for that… How to say, in Spanish it’s a good phrase: “In a world full of fish, you have to be the Shark.” And growing with this, it’s good.’
And he has one more, which is also related to what he is doing at the moment, living and performing with the biggest stars on the grid:
– And I also have another one on the back of my helmet that says: “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” This means that, in the end, if you try to shoot for the target, the bullet will reach the target and then fall. But if you try to shoot for the moon, even if you miss, the bullet will go much further and if you shoot here, you already know.’
