Pedro Acosta closed 2023 in style, becoming the Moto2 world champion, and in 2024 he will embrace another challenge in the premier class of two wheels.
‘I have to analyze many things before saying that I will win the championship. I have to be realistic and take the necessary steps that I have to take’, started the number ’31’, in an interview he gave to the Spanish website Relevo.
‘Hopefully everything will go well and I will have to face myself. Brad Binder is showing a very high level with KTM. Will I try to do the same? Why not? Someday the moment will come when I can compare myself to him’.
In the premier class, the rider from Murcia will compete with one of his references, Marc Márquez. ‘Of course I would like to face him. He has been in the category for many years and has moved to a team that has a more competitive bike, being realistic, the adaptation may take some time. Since I was 16 years old he has called me the new Marc Márquez. At first it was difficult, but in the past we stopped talking so much about it’, he concluded.
The 19-year-old rider will take on the challenge of leading one of the bikes from GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 in MotoGP, a team where he will be joined by Augusto Fernández.
