The main rider of the KTM universe this MotoGP season has been Pedro Acosta so far, who is a rookie and continues to surprise the paddock and, as Michael Laverty believes, the KTM factory may be having “problems” accepting this.
In statements to TNT Sports, quoted in Crash, the former WSBK rider remains very attentive to what is happening in MotoGP and Pedro Acosta is undoubtedly someone who has been standing out… even among the main KTM team: ‘It will be difficult for the KTM factory team to swallow seeing Pedro on the podium twice’.
Which is exactly the opposite of what has been happening with the two team riders: ‘Jack Miller had a good race, but then fell back. We know that Brad Binder had a difficult weekend. Perhaps the broken toe affected his performance’.
For the British rider, there is no doubt that #31 is a very special rider: ‘They have an absolute superstar in Acosta. So, the GASGAS team and Herve Poncharal are loving it’.
