Pedro Acosta did not leave his credits in the hands of others and clearly dominated the second practice of the San Marino GP in Moto2.
After the first six minutes saw five different riders in the lead, Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo/Kalex) beat Filip Salac (QJMotor Gresini/Kalex) to take the lead.
The Spanish rider improved his time four more times and never lost the first position. He finished with a 0.541s lead over Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing/Kalex), with Jake Dixon (Inde GasGas Aspar/Kalex) in third. Alonso López (+Ego SpeedUp/Boscoscuro) and Sam Lowes (Elf Marc VDS/Kalex) completed the top five of the session and the day.
Once again, the second-placed rider in the championship faced some difficulties. Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS/Kalex) finished in a modest 16th place in the second practice and 18th in the combined standings of the two Friday sessions despite making progress from P1.
