Pedro Acosta is one of several riders complaining about vibrations on the bike. The problem is common to more than one manufacturer, and the rookie believes it is an issue that the tire supplier should consider.
The Spaniard stated after the Spanish GP: ‘In the end, I think it’s something that Michelin needs to consider, because other manufacturers are also talking about it. We have had it since the first moment I rode the bike in Malaysia‘.
According to Acosta, the vibration problem is strange, as it is difficult to understand the cause: ‘It’s strange because it doesn’t come from the shock absorber and it doesn’t come from the bike. So, it’s very difficult to understand where it’s coming from and also to solve or prevent the problem‘.
In Jerez, the rookie raced with a medium tire and experienced vibrations, while in Austin the issue arose with a soft tire, as he stated: ‘In the Sprint race [in Austin], with the soft tire, but in the Jerez race it was with the medium and not the soft. So, it’s very complicated to understand where it’s coming from‘.
