The Ducati Desmosedici has dominated the MotoGP world championship, and the final rankings in the last two seasons prove it. Always on the path of evolution, the 2024 model will bring a new aerodynamics that the factory team duo has not yet seen but believes will have many positive points.
Both riders were asked about this aspect of the new bike, with Bastianini starting by mentioning that he has not yet had the opportunity to see the most updated version, already with the new aerodynamic package: ‘We haven’t seen the design of the new bike yet. It’s an important part of the bike, and it also depends on the riding style. Last year, Pecco [Bagnaia] and I chose different solutions compared to the Pramac riders, and that may happen again this year. It depends, but we haven’t seen it yet, but it will also be very good’.
On the other hand, Bagnaia explained what he asked the manufacturer for, and although, like Bestia, he has not yet seen the bike, he knows that whatever comes will be competitive: ‘People within the team said it was good but different. My request was for maneuverability but also downforce, a bit of everything. I think they did a good job’.
