Maverick Viñales had in 2023 his second full season with Aprilia Racing and his best so far, finishing the year in seventh, just two points behind the longtime main star of the constructor, Aleix Espargaró.
His growth has been steady, as Paolo Bonora highlighted to the championship website: ‘Race by race he has become much more consistent from the start. In MotoGP, you need to be at the front in the first corner if we want to achieve a good result. All his feedback has been very helpful for Aprilia’.
The team manager recalled the way #12 pilots the RS-GP, with a note about the future: ‘His riding style is very different from Aleix’s and we know where we need to improve’.
