Each bike has its own characteristics and, consequently, different requirements in terms of riding. A subject that Miguel Oliveira was approached about before the MotoGP French GP.
The Trackhouse Racing rider explained what the Aprilia RS-GP 2024 demands in terms of how to ride it, starting by mentioning that the entry and exit of the corner are important moments:
– This bike allows you to turn well in the corner. It’s all about the exit, how much power you can have during the exit. It seems like our bike has some difficulties accepting so much power when you lift it. So you have to pay attention to the entry. You can brake late, but I would say that those 5/10 meters later probably only Ducati or KTM can actually do it because they can go wide and still come back with a lot of power.
Oliveira added: ‘We have to pay attention to that entry phase, but overall it’s a good bike. You can’t kill the speed so much, so you have to pay attention to that‘.
