The MotoGP Selection Committee has just announced that the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team will not continue in MotoGP. The committee is composed of members from FIM, IRTA (team association), and the promoter entity, Dorna Sports.
The decision not to select Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández’s team was announced in a statement. The reasons were also justified: ‘Repeated infractions and breaches of the Participation Agreement affecting the public image of MotoGP led to this decision‘.
Although RNF is leaving, the spot will not remain unfilled, according to the same note: ‘The Selection Committee will review applications for a new independent team, using Aprilia bikes, to join the MotoGP class grid for 2024. More information on this matter will follow in due course‘.
