It is official: Jonathan Rea will indeed leave Kawasaki after the 2023 World Superbike season. The announcement came Monday morning.
The six-time champion had a contract until the end of next year, but reached a mutual agreement with Kawasaki for termination. It is worth noting that Rea has been linked to Pata Yamaha to replace Toprak Razgatlioglu.
It was in 2015 that the rider joined Kawasaki, after previously representing Honda teams. He began a sequence of six consecutive titles and other records, marking an era of dominance in the history of WSBK.
