The rumors of the past few weeks have just been confirmed: Fermín Aldeguer will move up to MotoGP next season, having signed a contract directly with Ducati.
The announcement was made this Monday by the manufacturer from Borgo Panigale. The contract is for two years (2025 and 2026), with the option to renew for an equal period. The duration aligns with what was speculated and demonstrates Ducati’s confidence in the potential of the current Moto2 rider.
It remains to be seen which team Aldeguer will make the jump to MotoGP with. The most logical possibility is Prima Pramac Racing, whose team manager Gino Borsoi already considers Jorge Martín’s departure at the end of the year as certain.
Furthermore, it is Ducati’s main satellite team, the only one with the latest version of the Desmosedici GP and has already developed talents like Francesco Bagnaia, Martín, or Jack Miller.
