In one of the most thrilling showdowns of the season, Nicolò Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) edged Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) by just 0.027 seconds in Race 2 at Most, denying the Turkish rider a clean sweep at the Czech round.

The race began with chaos at Turn 1 as Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) and Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) collided and were forced to retire. Vierge was sent to the medical centre, and Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) received two long-lap penalties for causing the incident.

Once the dust settled, Bulega led with Razgatlioglu right behind him. The Italian resisted intense pressure from the #1 plate holder and exchanged dramatic overtakes with him throughout the race.

On the final corner of the final lap, Bulega managed a perfect exit and overtook Toprak right at the line, claiming his first ever win at Most and his eighth victory of the season.

Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team) claimed yet another third place, overtaking Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) mid-race. Lowes did not give up and fought until the very end, finishing just 0.176s behind.

Further back, Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha) came out on top in a tight battle for fifth with Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki), Iker Lecuona (Honda HRC) and others. Lecuona faded slightly in the closing laps and finished a lonely seventh.

Yari Montella (Barni Spark) was once again the top rookie, securing eighth place just ahead of Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha). Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki) rounded out the top ten with his best result of the season, followed by Dominique Aegerter and Scott Redding.

It was a forgettable day for Honda. In addition to Vierge’s crash, Tarran Mackenzie (PETRONAS MIE) fell on Lap 3, and both Zaqhwan Zaidi (PETRONAS MIE) and Tito Rabat (Yamaha Motoxracing) were forced to retire with technical issues.
