Nicolò Bulega stood out in the World Superbike test that ended this Friday in Barcelona. With a lap time of 1m40.172s, he not only was the fastest, but also broke the official circuit record.
The Aruba.it Ducati rider commented in a statement: ‘We didn’t do anything special, just some different adjustments. We tried something different, but then in the end we went back, especially after a small crash I had in turn one. We regained our feeling, so in the end it was a good test‘.
Despite impressing with his best lap, Bulega revealed that it could have been even better: ‘I am happy because my pace was also good. I did a great lap, but not in perfect conditions. Also, when I tried again with the second soft tire, I made a mistake and was a tenth faster than my best time, but just for a test, it was good‘.
