Augusto Fernández and Pedro Acosta are ready for this 2024 season and Nicolas Goyon has, just like Hervé Poncharal, high expectations for both.
The Team Manager of (new) Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 started by talking about the new format that was introduced last year and then about #37:
– In 2023 we had many changes. We had this new Sprint format and the new team structure, but this means we are ready for the next season. Augusto was strong in his debut season. Of course, we all hope he improves for 2024. He is very calm! He always takes some time to think about what happened on the track and then explains the technique and his feelings. This is very important for the team to develop and adjust the bike.
As for the new team member, Moto2 world champion, Goyon believes it will be a learning process: ‘Pedro is a great talent, but my message to the fans would be ‘be patient’. You know, it’s not that easy for a rookie to have a good performance. Now it’s complicated with the riding height devices and a lot of electronics. The weekend format is also complicated and something to learn. Let’s give him time’.
And he concluded: ‘For me, the 2024 lineup of Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 will be even closer to the fans. Both riders are young and we know that this is the main goal of GASGAS, to connect and excite all those who watch MotoGP’.
