The MotoGP world tour outside of Europe wraps up this weekend with the Qatar GP at Losail – the only night-time race on the entire calendar.

Championship leader Álex Márquez (BK8 Gresini/Ducati) has so far finished every race in second and holds a narrow lead of one point over Marc Márquez (Ducati), who is determined to bounce back after his crash in Austin.

Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) is third, with renewed momentum after securing his first win of 2025. Meanwhile, reigning 2024 champion Jorge Martín (Aprilia) is expected to return in Qatar after missing the opening three rounds due to injury. The RS-GP has been fighting for top-ten spots thanks to Ai Ogura (Trackhouse) and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia). So, what can «Martinator» do on his comeback?

In Moto2, Jake Dixon (Elf Marc VDS/Boscoscuro) is riding high with two consecutive wins and leads the standings by 13 points over Arón Canet (Fantic Racing Lino Sonego/Kalex). Manuel González (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP/Kalex) sits third, struggling in Austin with a 22nd-place finish but still just one point behind Canet and 15 ahead of Alonso López (Team HDR Heidrun/Boscoscuro), who is fourth.

In Moto3, José Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) leads convincingly with two wins and three podiums so far. He has a 24-point advantage over Ángel Piqueras (Frinsa-MT Helmets-MSi/KTM), meaning it’s unlikely he’ll be overtaken in Losail. Adrián Fernández (Leopard Racing/Honda) lost his perfect podium streak in Austin and is tied in points with Matteo Bertelle (LevelUp-MTA/KTM), both 26 points off the top.
