The Royal Enfield 650 platform seems to be ready for another expansion in the near future, after two models built on the same platform appeared during pre-production tests in India.
The Royal Enfield 650 platform currently consists of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, and Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Other novelties seem to be coming soon, as shown in the photographs published by the Indian website Rushlane.
The images show a scrambler-style motorcycle and a retro-style cruiser – a Scram 650 and a Classic 650 are likely.
While the Classic 650 seems to be based on the Super Meteor 650, following the established line of the Classic 350 which is based on the Meteor 350, the Scram 650 diverges from the established pattern for the Royal Enfield Scram name.
In 2022, the Scram 411 was launched and was based on the previous generation of the Himalayan. With a new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 recently launched, it would be expected that a new Scram would take on the technical base of the Indian brand’s newest adventure motorcycle. Instead, it seems to be based on the Interceptor.
