On Monday, Ducati unveiled two new models for 2025, from the Scrambler «family»: the new Icon Dark and the revamped Full Throttle. With unique features, they maintain the typical Scrambler character. The Icon Dark will arrive in dealerships as early as October, while for the Full Throttle, you’ll have to wait until December.
Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark
With a design dominated by black, the Icon Dark ‘expresses the purest essence of Ducati Scrambler’. From the tank covers to the front mudguard, from the conveyors to the minimalist side panels and rear fairing, the all-black look enhances the bike’s aesthetics.
The tank features the modern Scrambler logo, which perfectly complements the matte black paint. The bike also comes with a stainless steel silencer. An elegant and minimalist bike, without superfluous lines in its design, it also offers versatility thanks to customization options.
Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle
More sporty, the Full Throttle is inspired by Flat Track racing in the United States. The design reflects this, with side plates bearing the number #62 – a nod to 1962, the year the first Ducati Scrambler was launched.
There’s a sump guard, a unique seat design, and a black and bronze color scheme – with bronze also featured on the aluminium rims inspired by 1970s racing motorcycles and cars. There’s a lowered handlebar with variable section, a short front mudguard, and a rear end without a rear mudguard.
Another standout feature is the Termignoni stainless steel silencer in countries where it’s approved, while the Ducati Quick Shift is standard equipment.
Common features
These two motorcycles have the same 803cc desmodromic twin-cylinder engine, capable of delivering 73 hp at 8,250 rpm and 65.2 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The gearbox is six-speed. There is a ride-by-wire system. There is a version limited to 35 kW of power, in order to be legal for those with an A2 driving license.
The frame is also the same: a tubular steel trellis type. The front fork is USD from Kayaba, while the rear shock by Kayaba is adjustable in preload. The aluminum alloy rims measure 18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear, fitted with Pirelli MT 60 RS tyres.
The braking system is also identical on these two Scramblers: a 300mm disc and a four-piston radial caliper at the front, and a 245mm disc and a single-piston floating caliper at the rear – in both cases, there is Bosch Cornering ABS as standard equipment.
The dimensions are also the same: 176 kg of weight without fuel, a fuel tank with a capacity of 14.5 liters, a wheelbase of 1,449 mm, and a seat height that can vary from 780 mm to 810 mm according to the chosen option. In addition to the rider, the motorcycle can carry a passenger.
The instrument panel consists of a 4.3-inch color TFT display, while in terms of safety equipment, there are riding modes, power modes, DTC traction control, and daytime running lights – in addition to the aforementioned Cornering ABS. The lighting is LED, and there is a USB port under the seat. The Ducati Multimedia System is optional.
