Ducati has launched a new Panigale V2 for 2025, and Marc Márquez will have this new model. The Spaniard is, for the first time, a rider for the constructor’s factory team in MotoGP.
After trying the V2 S in January and being surprised, Ducati decided to offer him the bike on the occasion of his 32nd birthday, celebrated this Monday (February 17).
New V2 engine
This Ducati Panigale V2 S has a new 890‑cc V2 engine, capable of delivering 120 hp of power and 93.3 Nm of torque. It complies with Euro 5+ standards and is the lightest ever produced by the manufacturer, weighing only 54.4 kg.
It is paired with a six‑speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0. For younger riders or holders of an A2 driving license, a version limited to 35 kW (43.5 hp) of power is available.
Frame and chassis
The 2025 Panigale V2 S features a monocoque‑type aluminum frame, with a subframe made of the same material, and a new dual‑sided swingarm fixed directly to the engine.
At the front, there is an Öhlins NIX30 fork, fully electronically adjustable, with Öhlins also supplying the rear shock absorber and the steering damper.
The bike, which weighs only 175 kg, is equipped with brakes featuring two discs, Brembo M50 monoblock calipers with four pistons at the front; and one disc with a Brembo caliper and two pistons at the rear. The wheels measure 17 inches and are fitted with Pirelli tyres.
Design based on Panigale V4
Ducati has decided to equip the Panigale V2 with lines similar to the V4, featuring a compact size and an aerodynamic design. The fuel tank recalls that of the Panigale V4, the fairing and the windscreen are very narrow, and the handlebar is slightly higher than in the previous version of the V2. The color is the famous Ducati Red.
Electronics
In terms of electronics, the riding modes (Race, Sport, Road, and Wet) can be found, selectable through the new 5‑inch TFT instrument panel.
The latest version of the six‑axis IMU forms the basis for the operation of Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Power Launch, and the Ducati Pit Limiter (speed limiter in the pits).
The bike also features engine braking control (EBC), in addition to the aforementioned DQS 2.0. The lighting is entirely LED, and the seat is for the rider, but a passenger kit is available as an accessory.
