New CFMOTO 700MT – equipment, technical specifications

Born from the design of the 650MT and updated with a larger capacity engine that successfully equips the CFMOTO CL-X range, we are talking about the new 700MT. With this new model, there is more performance and a more complete and state-of-the-art equipment now available on board a high-quality crossover. The 700MT has a pleasant appearance characterized by the excellent integration of the fuel tank, fairing, and rear. The design is muscular yet refined, of a motorcycle that wants to convey the pleasure of traveling. This is also due to the set of front headlights with their recognizable characteristic. Completing the design are the hand guards, the exhaust tip, and the exhaust pipe, which are also perfectly integrated into the design of the CFMOTO 700MT. The engine of the 700MT is a generous two-cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder and excellent torque and maximum power. It is close to 67 hp and reaches a maximum torque of 60 Nm at 7,250 rpm. These characteristics, combined with the smooth operation, are – on paper – a guarantee of a pleasant driving experience.

At 700MT, the electronic compartment is interesting. In addition to the dual-channel ABS system, there is also traction control for maximum safety in all driving conditions. The engine maps, selectable through the control panel located on the left side of the handlebar, adapt the delivery and throttle response characteristics. These systems contribute to safety and are an added value that CFMOTO places at the center of a complete product offering.

In the frame compartment, there is a fully adjustable 43mm inverted fork in terms of spring preload and hydraulic brakes with compression and extension functions. The mono-shock, which does not act by progressive linkage, is directly connected between the frame and the swingarm and is also fully adjustable in preload. The seat is 845 mm off the ground and the weight of the CFMOTO 700MT reaches 207 kg.

The braking system stands out thanks to the 300 mm dual front disc and the 240 mm rear disc, and the two-channel ABS system is inevitable.

The 5-inch TFT color screen is adjustable in five levels of brightness, and you can also easily connect your smartphone and explore the potential of the CFMOTO Ride App to control the bike’s data and much more. Through the practical handlebar controls, it is possible to set the driving modes.

There is no shortage of complimentary services for the rider, such as the gear change reminder and the preset speed limit warning. The equipment also includes supports for side cases, aluminum passenger grab bars, handguards, and adjustable windshield.

There is no information on the price yet. Considering the technical advancements, it is very likely to cost a bit more than its sister 650MT, we will see.
