Andrea Dovizioso suffered a serious accident on Tuesday while training motocross. The former MotoGP rider had to be transported to a hospital by helicopter and has since shared an update on his condition.
With bandages on both arms, the Italian confirmed on social media that he has fractures, although he does not reveal which ones specifically. In the post made from the hospital, it can be read:
– This time I really suffered a big impact. My collection of fractures is getting bigger, but the important thing is that the CT scan is negative. Tomorrow [today, April 10] I will undergo more tests and will inform you of how they go.
Finally, Dovizioso made sure to share thanks: ‘A big thank you to Yuri Naldini who is always by my side, to all who helped me, and to the medical team at the hospital. Also, thank you to all who sent me messages. I will continue to read all your messages‘.
Currently 38 years old, Dovizioso dedicated himself to motocross after leaving MotoGP in the middle of 2022. Despite not competing in major competitions, he has his own track in Italy, the 04 Park Monte Coralli.
