Fabio Di Giannantonio had to join the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team in MotoGP, being replaced by Marc Márquez at Gresini. This year, both will have the same bike, so on equal terms, the Italian will be able to prove his worth against the six-time champion of the premier class.
However, this is not a motivating factor for Di Giannantonio. The #49 assured in a press conference that the results he aims for are his only motivation:
– My motivation is to look on my stars [world titles] and not having a star on my side. That is my biggest motivation: I want to have a star on my name, so the goal is to give always the best. And I think this is the best motivation; there isn’t Marc or someone else who can be better than this motivation.
