Fabio Di Giannantonio had to move to Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team in MotoGP, being replaced by Marc Márquez at Gresini. This year they will both have the same bike, so under equal conditions the Italian will be able to prove his worth against the six-time champion of the premier class.
However, that is not a motivating factor for Di Giannantonio. The #49 assured in a press conference that the results he wants are his only motivation:
– My motivation is to look at my stars [titles] and not have a star by my side. That is my biggest motivation: I want to have a star in my name, so the goal is always to give my best. And I think this is the best motivation; there is no Marc or anyone who can be better than this motivation.
